Given the focus of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC for short and consisting of the FRB, FDIC, NCUA, OCC and CFPB), on cybersecurity over the past year or so, they have launched a web page that aggregates a lot of the FFIEC resources at one place. This is a good thing and will raise awareness in the financial services community of the importance of securing their information technology infrastructure.
As the volume and sophistication of attacks on financial services organizations increase, it gets more difficult to keep the attackers out. A good place to start is the FFIEC IT Handbook – which covers all major risk areas for financial institutions (and also applicable to organizations in other industries). Mosey on over and take a look.
